Meridian.us provides armed security for commercial, as well as Military Sealift Command, transiting high-risk waters. Our teams are led by combat decorated U.S. Marines and Army Special Forces operators who have been through extensive training regarding escalation of force procedures and the use of the weapons employed on vessels. To date we have safely deescalated more than twenty pirate attacks without our team members firing a single shot. We also provide unarmed security for shore facilities and flotel working in the Gulf of Mexico.
Meridian conducts operations throughout the world, and has trained surveillance personnel who work with government, corporate, and personal clients.
We also offer due diligence services for companies that are looking to expand their business internationally, going through a merger or acquisition or about to make an investment abroad. Meridian develops a country threat brief for our clients. Meridian studies your operations and your needs in order to provide a threat assessment that is applicable and helpful in allowing you to make critical and routine decisions.
Armed Vessel Security
Meridian Global Consulting will provide an armed security team aboard your vessel while transiting High Risk Waters (HRW). In full compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), equipment will be loaded onto your vessel in a port that is outside of HRW. The Meridian personnel will meet the vessel at a time and place of the vessel’s choosing in order to transit HRW.
While onboard the Meridian Personnel will ensure that the ship is secure and in compliance with Best Management Practices 4 (BMP4). Our personnel have been trained in implementing BMP4 and will work towards ensuring that BMP4 is properly implemented, allowing the crew to continue with their jobs. Meridian personnel advise the master of areas of High Risk and recent pirate activity. In addition, our personnel are available for anti-piracy crew training and will conduct crew drills prior to transiting HRW. Once onboard, our team provides 24-hour security, keeping crew costs low and unburdened with additional watch.
When Meridian personnel are no longer needed, they will disembark at a port of the vessel’s choosing in order to keep your costs low. We will work with the shipping company to determine what works best with you. If you prefer to save money and leave the weapons stored in a level IV safe onboard the vessel, we are glad to obtain the license to do so. Otherwise, we will disembark with weapons.

Our personnel are trained in convoy security to protect your assets while mobile. We can work with federal, state, and local law enforcement to ensure that all are notified of your movements and have additional assets on standby.
